Hello everyone! We are Katie and Debbie, your teachers for the Yate, Iron Acton, Westerleigh, Frampton Cotterell, Coalpit Heath & Winterbourne areas. We both live locally and attended classes in Iron Acton & Yate with our own children and now think we have the best job ever running our own classes here!🥰

A bit about us…we are both busy mums each with 3 boys (totally outnumbered there!) and for the last few years have been running classes in the Thornbury (Debbie) and Wotton-Under-Edge (Katie) areas. As we both live locally, we  attended all of Anne-marie’s classes here with our own children and we just love Music with Mummy! We loved it so much we became franchisees and sang all the songs at ‘work’ and then came to classes with our boys on our days off and sang them all again! 🤣🎶💜

We are both passionate about music & singing (sometimes much to the annoyance of our families 😆), early years education and providing that safe, judgement free zone for all parents to feel welcomed into. We also strongly believe in the value of the Music with Mummy programme and we just love everything we do week to week to help your little one’s development and encourage their own love of music and we can’t wait for you to join us.

About Our Classes

Weekly Sessions

We have lots of fun in our classes aimed at three different age groups…

Jolly Babies (suitable from birth)

Each week in our baby classes we start with a hello song so we can get to know each other, then we sing a variety of traditional and original action songs, use fun props, play instruments, dance or bounce, have listening time with bubbles and lights, and finish with a lullaby and a goodbye song. It’s half an hour of loveliness! Each week builds on the previous week so you get to know the songs to sing at home as well!

Music with Mummy (suitable from 16months)

In toddler classes, we really focus on developing your little one’s independence, social skills, language development and build confidence through our fun and exciting songs and activities. Each term we focus on key musical concepts such as loud and soft, long and short sounds etc through termly themes such as ‘Toys’, ‘Colours’, ‘Light’, ‘Family’ and we use lots of props, instruments, dancing, action songs and sometimes we even get the bubbles and parachute out too! Our themes include a mix of traditional and original songs and build on the learning carefully each week so you can both get to know the songs and the learning can continue at home as well! We finish each week with a fun goodbye song that everybody loves!

Not just for mums! Dads, Grandparents etc welcome too! Siblings are also welcome!

Three Four Time (especially for 3 and 4 year olds)

The final stage of our programme aims to encourage more independence in readiness for school. Sessions are more drama based and themed around a story each term with lots of fun songs to learn, instruments to play and musical awareness to develop as well as lots of social skills and confidence building!

Parties

All of her classes are well organised with lots of exciting instruments to play with and are so much fun ❤️
